Title:  LMS 10000 on regular passenger duty at Birmingham New Street Station
Description:  10000 and 10001 were prototype 1600hp diesels built at Derby Works. 10000 first ran in November 1947 and was put into regular service in February 1948. By the end of 1948 it was joined by sister 10001 and did extensive trials double headed for a combined output of 3200hp. It was withdrawn in 1963 and finally cut up in 1968.
